On Saturday night in a win against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Jake McCabe got hit by a puck in the head and neck area, which led to a scary scene in which he was permanently removed from the game.
Following the injury, head coach Craig Berube made it seem as though Jake McCabe was going to be just fine, and would not miss any time.
However, that turned out to not actually be the case at all as McCabe ended up missing the team's matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Tonight, the Maple Leafs take on the Nashville Predators, and it was expected that McCabe would return.
According to Luke Fox of Sportsnet, McCabe is going to be out of the Maple Leafs lineup, yet again.
As per comments made by head coach Craig Berube, McCabe isn't feeling so good. Although, Berube did note that McCabe wants to be back by the weekend.
Despite McCabe's absence last game, the Leafs were able to secure an easy win against the Chicago Blackhawks.
This Maple Leafs team is on a huge roll right now as they have won nine out of their last 11 games.
Overall, the team has a record of 15-7-2, and they continue to dominate games. Fans should be very happy about these performances.
