John Tavares reveals whether or not he wants to return to the Toronto Maple Leafs
Toronto Maple Leafs forward John Tavares is up for a new contract, and both sides are currently negotiating with very little progress being made on all fronts.
John Tavares has been with the Maple Leafs for quite some time now, and his seven-year deal is finally coming to an end, which means a difficult conversation is being had.

There has been a lot of reporting about what kind of contract Tavares will take and how much he is going to be worth.
According to David A. McCarthy, the former captain is thinking long and hard about his tenure in Toronto and how despite not winning a title, he has had a lot of fun.
Meanwhile, Tavares admitted that he does, indeed, want to return to the Toronto Maple Leafs and his goal is to sign a new deal.
Additionally, Tavares noted that one of the best parts about playing with the Maple Leafs is being able to share that experience with his kids.
Needless to say, it seems like both sides want to continue their relationship, and we hope that this ends up being the case.
Only time will tell when this deal officially gets done. One can only hope that the deal is team-friendly, but also fair to John.
