Tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs play the Chicago Blackhawks and it has forced the team into a tough spot as it pertains to picking a starting goalie.

So far to start the year, both Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz have been sensational.

You can see their combined statistics from 10 days ago down below, and as you will notice, they are extremely good for a relatively cheap goalie tandem.

However, Woll has been the better goalie as of late thanks to his five-game winning streak.

As we reported on Sunday night, Woll should be given the keys to the starting goalie role, moving forward.

That said, there are still a ton of fans out there who actually believe Woll needs to prove a whole lot more before he can be given such a position.

As it turns out, head coach Craig Berube is in agreement with this assessment. We know this because he just named Anthony Stolarz as the starter for tonight's game against the Blackhawks.

Anthony Stolarz gets the start for the Maple Leafs

To be fair to Stolarz and the rest of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Chicago Blackhawks are not a particularly good team.

Through the first quarter of the season, the Blackhawks have only managed to win eight games, meanwhile, the Leafs have won 14.

This has actually been an incredibly impressive stretch of hockey for the Maple Leafs as they have won eight out of their last 10 games.

With a win against the Blackhawks tonight, the Leafs would be able to continue to stay atop the Atlantic Division, which is certainly a worthwhile goal.
