Mitch Marner reportedly rejects huge contract offer from the Toronto Maple Leafs
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner is currently in the midst of contract negotiations with the franchise and it does not seem to be going anywhere right now.
Marner currently makes $10.9 million per year, however, his contract is set to expire after this season, and now, the Maple Leafs must sign him or risk losing him for nothing.

Unfortunately for the Toronto Maple Leafs, signing Mitch Marner is going to prove difficult as he leads the team with 31 assists and a total of 41 points.
These performances are spectacular and they just go to show that Marner is worth a whole lot of money.
In a new report from JD Bunkis, it was revealed that the Maple Leafs are offering contracts to Mitch Marner, however, he has refused them. One of these offers was fairly recent.
This does spell a bit of trouble for the Leafs although there is still plenty of time to get a deal done with their superstar.
It was always a pipe dream for the Maple Leafs to get something figured out before the end of the season.
As Bunkis explains, Marner wants to see how the season plays out. Of course, if he has a good year and plays well in the postseason, then the price of his deal will certainly go up.
Both sides are taking some calculated risks here, and if there is one thing for certain, it is that things would be a lot better for both sides if they reunited long-term.
Hopefully, all of this ends up getting figured out.
