Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly was not selected for Team Canada's 4 Nations Face-Off team, and now, he is speaking out about it.

Morgan Rielly is one of the best defensemen in the NHL, however, he was not good enough to make Team Canada's 4 Nations Face-Off roster, which is very stacked.

Rielly was not the only Maple Leafs player to be snubbed by Team Canada as John Tavares was not able to make the team either.

The only Maple Leafs star to make Team Canada was none other than Mitch Marner, who leads Toronto in points this season, with 38.

Recently, Rielly spoke to the media, where he revealed exactly how he feels about not making the roster.

Essentially, Rielly isn't too worried about it, and he was complimentary of the players on the team.

"Yeah, I mean, it is what it is," Rielly said, "they have a great team and we're all going to be cheering for them."

Morgan Rielly also went on to say that he is motivated to continue playing at a high level so he can one day get to play for Team Canada.

"It's always a great honor to play for your country and you're always trying to perform well enough to get that opportunity again."

The 4 Nations Face-Off is in a few months from now, and there is no doubt that there are a lot of fans who are interested in the outcome of all of this.

Team Canada and Team USA are the favorites, but if one thing is clear, it is that Finland and Sweden will be formidable.
