Brandon Lisowsky has announced his commitment to the Colorado College Tigers for the 2025-26 NCAA season in a significant move that could reshape his professional hockey career.

Brandon Lisowsky has proven his offensive skills with 80 goals and 151 points in just 133 WHL games since being drafted.

Leafs Draft Pick Brandon Lisowsky Commits to Colorado College

Despite his excellent performances with teams like the Saskatoon Blades and Victoria Royals, the Maple Leafs did not offer him an entry-level contract which is leaving him unattached to any NHL organization.

This decision to pursue college hockey comes after the new CHL-NCAA agreement, which permits CHL players to go directly to NCAA programs.

Previously, the players would have had to bypass the CHL or take alternate routes like the USHL or Canadian Junior A leagues.

Brandon Lisowsky's move to Colorado College offers him a fresh opportunity to upgrade his skills against older and stronger competition in a highly competitive environment.

At only 5'9" and 180 pounds, he faces questions about his ability to handle the physicality of the pro game like the NHL.

However, the NCAA schedule which is also rigorous could help him show his toughness and make him a more attractive prospect for pro scouts.

Brandon Lisowski joins other WHL talents who used the new CHL-NCAA pathway.

Other examples include Oliver Tulk, Tyson Jugnauts and former Saskatoon teammates Ben Riche and Ben Saunderson.

Colorado College also secured defenseman Will McLaughlin who is a top AJHL prospect.

As Lisowsky begins this new chapter, his journey will be closely watched to see if college hockey can help him back onto the NHL radar.
