Just last week, the Boston Bruins made a shocking decision by firing the likes of Jim Montgomery, who had an incredible record with the franchise.

Ultimately, Montgomery is a head coach who would be in high demand as he has accomplished a lot with the Bruins.

Fans were perplexed that he was fired in the first place, so it only makes sense that rival teams would be trying to pounce on his services.

There are plenty of teams out there with lackluster head coaches, and one of those teams was the St. Louis Blues.

Drew Bannister had been struggling as the head coach and this morning, it was reported that he had been fired.

Elliotte Friedman dropped the bombshell that Montgomery was going to replace Bannister and he would be doing so on a five-year contract.

Jim Montgomery is back

"It is a five-year contract for Montgomery. St. Louis was considered the likeliest destination for him, assuming the Blues were willing to make a change."

Of course, this news is completely dominating the headlines this morning, and that should not be a surprise to anyone.

Overall, Montgomery is an amazing coach and we're sure that he can do a lot with the Blues.

While they may not have the best roster right now, Montgomery is a coach who knows how to motivate and get the best out of his players.

Realistically, the Bruins should feel very silly about the move they made, especially since it is still early in the year.

The Blues, on the other hand, were probably salivating at the thought of Montgomery being on the market, and now, they have their coach.
