Overall, the biggest name that has to do something right now is none other than Max Domi. While Domi has mostly been centering the third line this season, he was elevated to the top line against the Boston Bruins. With Matthews out of the lineup, Domi gets to play between Mitch Marner and Matthew Knies.
It has been difficult for Domi this season as he is currently on an eight-game streak without a point. Moreover, he does not have a goal this season. That said, according to Sportsnet, Domi got a nice co-sign from Marner.
In his first game of the season with the top line, Domi didn't get a single point, but the team won 4-0.
William Nylander had some praise for Domi recently, noting that he always plays well on the top line.
Only time will tell whether or not Domi can finally get back on track. However, for now, there is no doubt that this entire season has been a struggle for him.
