Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi has been out with an injury for a few weeks now, much like teammates such Auston Matthews and even Matthew Knies.

Although Matthews and Knies are already back in the lineup, Max Domi has remained out and there has been a whole bunch of uncertainty surrounding the nature of his injury.

Tonight, the Maple Leafs are taking on the Chicago Blackhawks at home, and once again, Domi will not be in the lineup.

However, there is quite a bit of excitement around Domi and his return right now, which is good for Leafs fans.

We know this because on Monday, Domi participated in the Leafs' morning skate, and he did so alongside Max Pacioretty, who has also been injured.

Max Domi will be back in the Maple Leafs lineup very soon

According to Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube, Domi will get to participate in a full practice on Tuesday.

This will ultimately determine whether or not Domi is on the right path to recovery, and if he can play later in the week.

This is absolutely amazing news for the Maple Leafs who could definitely use their center back.

Although Domi has struggled this season, notching 0 goals and six assists in 19 games, he has still been a solid overall player.

Not to mention, it is just better for team chemistry when they have all of their main guys out there.

It will be interesting to see how the Leafs respond tonight against a struggling Blackhawks team.
