Toronto Maple Leafs star Max Domi has had a pretty disappointing start to the NHL season as he has yet to score a single goal.

What has been especially interesting about Domi is that he has gotten some time on the Maple Leafs' top line. However, he still hasn't been able to get things together.

With that being said, there have been some theories pertaining to what is currently going on with Domi. For instance, some believe he is injured and this is beginning to affect him.

In fact, earlier today, it was noted how Domi had been given a day off from practice for what was being described as some sort of "maintenance" day.

This was concerning to Leafs fans as Domi had been given a similar maintenance day earlier in the week.

Thankfully, head coach Craig Berube came through with an update, noting that Domi is doing just fine and will play tomorrow.

Max Domi is still going to play

"Craig Berube says Max Domi will be good to go for tomorrow. Says Auston Matthews has remained off the ice the last few days. Doesn't appear as though he will play tomorrow. Cites the days between games for rest as a benefit to player in recovery. Says there has been no setbacks."

This is good for the Leafs as they are taking on an Edmonton Oilers team that is feeling very hungry right now.

Having said that, the Leafs have won four of their last five and have been playing some really solid hockey. All things considered, they do have a chance to win.

As for Domi, we just hope he is able to overcome whatever has been dealing with at the start of the season.

Only time will tell whether or not Saturday will elicit his first goal of the season.
