Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving has been facing quite a bit of pressure to finally make a trade.

One thing that the Maple Leafs have struggled with this year has been their bottom six. The players on the bottom six just have not produced at an amazing clip.

Having said that, the best way to combat this would be to make some kind of trade in which the team brings in someone fresh who can invigorate the rest of the lineup.

The Athletic analyst Kevin Papetti seems to know the perfect player for this. In fact, they are currently on the Pittsburgh Penguins.

That player in question just so happens to be Drew O'Connor, who is currently in their bottom six and has been quite decent to say the least.

Papetti made the suggestion after O'Connor scored a goal on Thursday night.

Drew O'Connor to the Toronto Maple Leafs

The take here is that O'Connor is 6'3 and is over 200 pounds. This makes him a big physical player who can impose his will on opposing teams.

Furthermore, last season, O'Connor finished with 16 goals and 33 total points. This is pretty damn good for a player in his position.

Not to mention, he is currently 26 years old and there is plenty of room for him to grow. While this may not be something that Treliving is looking to do now, he may just want to in the future.

Right now, his Leafs are at a record of 10-6-2 and if the season were to end today, they would be making it to the postseason. However, as everyone knows already, the Atlantic Division is a tough one.

The Leafs are going to need to get better if they want any chance of going on some sort of playoff run.

However, that is a lot easier said than done.
