Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has had some tough decisions to make, especially as it pertains to Jani Hakanpaa and Connor Dewar.

Recently, both Hakanpaa and Dewar were taken off the long-term injured reserve and were sent to the Toronto Marlies.

They have played one game so far and it was expected that they could already return to the team.

However, as it turns out, Berube would rather keep those two players with the Marlies, at least for now. One game is simply not enough to just go out and make assumptions about.

These players have been out for a while, and they could definitely use some more time.

As a result, both Hakanpaa and Dewar are going to get a couple of more games with the Marlies.

Craig Berube is keeping Hakanpaa and Dewar back for now

"Craig Berube says he thinks it's a good idea for Jami Hakanpaa and Connor Dewar to get a couple more games in their current conditioning stint."

Overall, the Leafs are doing just fine in their absence. However, just a tiny bit more depth could certainly go a long way for this Leafs roster.

Only time time will tell what is going to happen going forward.
