Tuesday night's game was perfect for exercising some demons as the Maple Leafs won in Boston after going down 3-0 for the first time in 62 years.
It was all thanks to a massive comeback effort that included two goals from Mitch Marner, including the overtime winner which came off of a beauty of a dish from Auston Matthews.
This gave the Maple Leafs their third win in a row and now, they are sitting atop the Atlantic Division standings with a game in hand on the Florida Panthers.
However, a clip from Tuesday's game is now going viral on social media and for some pretty hilarious reasons, if we might add.
As you can see down below, Matthews tried to celebrate with Marner following his overtime goal, however, the latter decided to ignore him and skate down the ice to hug Anthony Stolarz instead.
Of course, this was by no means intentional, although it for one of those moments that you cannot help but chuckle at.
For the Maple Leafs, this will do nothing to bring down the chemistry between Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.
These two are completely locked in right now and while Matthews has struggled at times due to a nagging injury, one would hope that the prospect of the postseason would put him in complete control going forward.
Under the leadership of Craig Berube, this Leafs team is a lot grittier and it seems like they could be built for the playoffs this time around.
Perhaps we are getting ahead of ourselves, but between the comebacks and the retained leads, it does feel as though something has changed for the better.
