Tonight, the Vancouver Canucks are set to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs on Hockey Night In Canada, but it isn't coming without at least a little bit of drama.

Last night, the Vancouver Canucks faced off against the Carolina Hurricanes and it was not a particularly good game for them as they lost by a score of 2-0.

The Toronto Maple Leafs experienced a similar fate against the Hurricanes one night prior, although it was a much more offensive affair with a final score of 6-3.

Vancouver Canucks struggle to get to Toronto from Raleigh

After last night's game in Raleigh, the Canucks attempted to fly to Toronto for tonight's matchup.

However, the team was left stranded due to weather and it brought up serious questions about whether or not tonight's game could go on.

Thankfully, the team was able to get out of North Carolina this morning, although they are getting to Toronto fairly late which certainly puts a wrench in their preparation.

The Canucks are a team that is fractured due to the rift between J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson which has been completely blown out of proportion by the media.

At this point, it feels like the Canucks will not be able to make the playoffs and even if they do, it will have to be as a Wild Card.

With Vancouver struggling, this is a perfect opportunity for the Toronto Maple Leafs to pounce.

These two teams are on different trajectories entirely and the Leafs are currently leading the Atlantic Division.

No matter what, it is going to be very interesting to see how the rest of this season shapes up for both sides.
