Connor Timmins receives massive compliment from head coach Craig Berube
Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Conor Timmins has been solid for the team so far this season, even if he isn't someone who is expected to be a huge contributor.
If there is one thing about this Leafs team, it is that they are grittier than they've ever been before.
Of course, this is the influence of Craig Berube, who wants the team to play better defensively. At times, this has come at the expense of scoring. However, the team has certainly improved on that front.
Last night, the Leafs played the Montreal Canadiens and came away with a humongous 4-1 win. Now, the Leafs are on a three-game winning streak.
After the game, Berube spoke to reporters about Conor Timmins and how he has been fantastic for this Leafs squad.

Overall, his competitiveness really stands out to me when defending, winning battles, breaking pucks out under pressure."
Only time will tell how Timmins' role with this team is going to develop over time. What we do know is that when Berube likes a player, they are rewarded.
Hopefully, the team's defenseman can keep this up. Over the last few games, the Leafs have been able to keep their goals against fairly low.
Needless to say, the team has a new philosophy that seems to be working wonders right now.
