Ex-Maple Leafs defenseman Ben Harpur intentionally obliterates goalie in disgusting act of revenge
Ex-Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Ben Harpur is in quite a bit of trouble right now thanks to his dirty hit on goaltender Felix Sandstrom.
Rochester Americans goaltender Felix Sandstrom had previously tripped Harpur last season and it led to a pretty bad injury.
Last night, Harpur was able to get his revenge. As you can see in the video below, Harpur went right at Sandstrom and knocked him over. It was extremely petty and downright dangerous.
Immediately after doing this, Harpur got hit with a well-deserved five-minute major and a game misconduct. Overall, it was not a good scene and fans were definitely upset.
Ben Harpur exacts revenge on Felix Sandstrom
For now, it remains to be seen whether or not Harpur is going to get any extra discipline for his move. While fans will be calling for it, there is no guarantee.
Hopefully, the AHL will do the right thing here. Otherwise, there might be an uproar. As far as Sandstrom, we hope is okay after having this go down.
