Tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs are playing the Tampa Bay Lightning which has forced a decision between goaltenders Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz.

Stolarz got the last start for the Maple Leafs, although it was a struggle for him as the team got blown out by the Florida Panthers by a score of 5-1.

With the team taking on the Lightning on Saturday night, there is no doubt that the Leafs would like to come back with a vengeance.

Both goaltenders have been playing well and it has led to a 50/50 policy of sorts.

Based on this, it seems pretty obvious and clear cut that the Leafs would opt to go with Joseph Woll for tonight's game.

According to Luke Fox of Sportsnet, that is exactly what is happening here. Woll gets the start and he will be up against Andrei Vasilevskiy.

Maple Leafs go with Joseph Woll

Woll has been very solid for the Maple Leafs since returning from injury earlier in the season.

He has amassed a record of 5-2 and has a goals-against average of exactly 2.00.

Moreover, he has managed a shutout this season and also has a very solid save percentage of 92.2 percent.

Needless to say, the Maple Leafs should feel good about having Joseph Woll in the goal tonight.

He has proven that he can get wins for this team, and he has even been able to shutout high-flying teams such as the Las Vegas Golden Knights.

The Maple Leafs come into the game tonight with a record of 13-7-2 and they have won seven of their last nine.
