Mitch Marner finally breaks 8-game goalless streak with a beautiful tip (video)
Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Mitch Marner started out the season with a bit of a slow start in the goals category.
While he has been averaging more than a point per game thanks to his assists, goals have been hard to come by. In fact, he ended up going eight games without a goal. Thankfully, that streak came to an end tonight in St. Louis.
As you can see down in the clip below, Marner was able to create an amazing tip, which he then turned around and put into the net once he got it secure on the ice. The hand-eye coordination was on point here, and it was yet another example of Marner being a truly incredible talent in the National Hockey League
Mitch Marner has broken the early season curse
At the time of writing this, the Leafs are up by a score of 1-0 against the St. Louis Blues. The Blues beat the Leafs 5-1 the last time that they played each other. With that in mind, there is no doubt that the Leafs are trying to get some revenge here.
Not to mention, if the Leafs can pull off the win, this will be their third win in a row. They have defeated the Winnipeg Jets and the Seattle Kraken during that time. The Leafs are playing with a purpose, and you really have to admire that.
