Nazem Kadri surprises with comments about returning to the Toronto Maple Leafs
Calgary Flames forward Nazem Kadri was a stud with the Toronto Maple Leafs and a lot of the fans on the team loved him.
However, he was eventually snaked by the team, which is something he has been pretty open and honest about. In fact, he speaks on these topics in his book Dreamer: My Life on the Edge. In that book, he also talks about the time Mike Babcock forced Mitch Marner to rank players by work ethic.
This week, Kadri was on The Leaf Report with James Mirtle, where he discussed his new book. During the interview, Kadri was asked whether or not he would ever return to the Maple Leafs.
Overall, this led to a pretty surprising answer all things considered. He noted that he is open to it, and would never close the door on such an opportunity.

We're sure fans would love to see Kadri back in a Leafs uniform. He is certainly the kind of player that Craig Berube would love. However, for now, Leafs fans just have to deal with him being on the Calgary Flames. It sucks and it hurts, but maybe someday he can return.
