Craig Berube finally gives William Nylander what he's been asking for
Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander has been playing extremely well as of late and head coach Craig Berube is making sure he gets rewarded.
So far this season, William Nylander has been able to score 14 goals while logging an additional 10 assists in 22 games.
Overall, he has been doing this while averaging 38 seconds less per game than he was last season. He has gone from 19:55 TOI to 19:17.
This was actually something that Nylander complained about earlier in the year, and it earned a firm response from Berube.
More ice time for William Nylander
Now, Berube is rewarding Nylander for his solid play, by giving him more ice time with various different units.
As Berube explains, Nylander is a big fan of this new predicament he has found himself in.
According to David Alter, something that has helped in regards to Nylander's ice time is the fact that he has been playing on not just one, but both Power Play units.
If the Maple Leafs want to go far this season, Nylander will have to continue to receive these kinds of looks from his head coach.
Hopefully, Nylander continues to ascend, and the Leafs are able to achieve everything the fans have been dreaming of.
